I hope you are all well.
It gives me a great pleasure to invite you to attend the United Iraqi Medical Association UK and Ireland, UIMA, Spring Scientific Conference that will be held on Saturday 29 February 2020 at the Postgraduate Centre in Ealing Hospital.
The conference will cover a variety of subjects that are convenient for most of the Iraqi doctors and health professionals as well as it will be a good opportunity to meet our friends and colleagues from UK and from inside and outside Iraq.
We will have the honor of hosting Dr Ihsan Al-Shamaa and Dr Waleed Al-Khaiyal who will talk about their stories as Iraqi Doctors and about the kidney transplant in Iraq.
Autism Spectrum will be covered at the conference followed by a presentation about the Neurological Developmental Disorders.
There will a session to debate different non-surgical options for weight loss followed by surgical options looking at different options, risks and side effects.
We will have a presentation from a Pharmacist to talk about the role of Prescribing Pharmacist.
One of the Iraqi young Consultant Ophthalmologists will present to us “The use of Micro-Incision Vitrectomy Surgery (MIVS) in the treatment of common vitreosurgical diseases”
We will have updates on Corona Virus by Dr Khalid Alshafi, Consultant Microbiologist.
We will have a cultural session where will hear from poems from Iraqi doctors.
UIMA will be privileged to celebrate the work of some of the Iraqi doctors at the Life Achievements and Appreciation Awards session.
At the evening of conference we will meet from 18:30 at an Iraqi Restaurant, Bodrum Lounge Restaurant at Park Royal, London, to enjoy a social gathering and to have a luxury open buffet of Iraqi food.Please book you place early through e-mail; president.uima@gmail.com
